Camera Surveillance in our warehouses and offices

Camera surveillance at ICA's warehouses and offices is primarily utilized for your safety and ours. The data controller for camera surveillance is the ICA company or companies operating at a specific location. Signs informing of video surveillance is placed before entering a monitored area and identifies the entity that is the data controller. Furthermore, some warehouses employ cameras for additional purposes, as outlined below.

Parties with whom information is shared

In some cases, we need to share your personal data with other recipients. 

Service provider

We use subcontractors to assist us in administering the camera surveillance and camera utilization, for example to handle necessary operations, technical support, maintenance of our cameras and installation. Our subcontractors may only process your personal data according to our explicit instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. They are also legally and contractually obliged to protect your personal data and are bound by professional secrecy. 

External company (counterparty in the event of a compensation claim) and insurance company

Personal data collected through camera surveillance may, in connection with claims handling, be shared with an external company or an insurance company to process compensation or damages claims. This applies both when damage has been caused to ICA’s property and when an external company has caused damage to another external company’s property within ICA’s premises. The processing is based on legitimate interest, unless the sharing is carried out on the basis of a legal obligation. Only necessary information derived from the camera material is shared, such as anonymised image evidence, registration number, and time. No camera material in which individuals are identifiable are shared.  

Law enforcements authoritiesL

The personal data collected through camera surveillance may also be shared with law enforcement authorities such as the Police, Swedish Security Service, Swedish Prosecution Authority and Swedish Work Environment Authority on the legal basis of legitimate interest, unless the sharing is carried out on the basis of a legal obligation.

Where the data is stored

 All video footage is stored on secure servers within EU.
